About us

Running Jump Print Workshop is a new North London facility for artists working in and exploring printmaking. The workshop is being set up by artist/printmaker Richard Peacock .

The workshop will open from 5 August 2024. There will be some limited access for artists to try out the space from June – please contact us for more information.

Our equipment

Our Marler Press provides our screen printing option. With a bed size of 130 x 100 cm the press allows for work up to A1 in size. We also have a Marler exposure unit for preparing screens. This 1970/80s equipment has been well maintained and provides the artist with opportunities to work on images of varying size and complexity. If you don’t have your own screens, the workshop can provide them for hire.

Lino and wood-cut printing is available on our Albion Press. Dating from 1863 and manufactured in London by Frederick Ulmer from the original 1920 design by R W Cope, our Albion Press has been beautifully restored by A M R Logan Press. Bed size 70 x 50 cm.

A 1960s Hunter Penrose Press provides the workshop with intaglio printing (dry point, etchings and photo etchings). With a bed size of 120 x 70 cm and brand-new blankets, the press is ready to roll! Please note the workshop will not provide facilities to make traditional etching plates and we won’t be using acid or aquatint at present. However, we will be developing facilities to support photo-etching in the coming months.

Running Jump Print Workshop thanks Nancy Slonims and Ben Joiner for their support to the workshop and their generous loan of the Albion and Hunter Penrose Presses.
